2Probando LG Optimus 2 x 2 (III)

lg optimus 2x review 478x395 2Probando 2el LG Optimus 2x (III)

Third and last installment of this test with the beast of LG. In this part we will talk about the performance that we can obtain from the terminal and "what is" as much power enclosed between these two shells and a silver ring.

The primero… Processor. Nvidia Tegra 2 is fantastic. This phone has impressive potential. It is able to move video in Full HD 1080p on any TV with HDMI cable with ease astonishing. Using the internal SD that brings, and your microSD to put multimedia content, you will have a great player to take you where you want, connect to a TV with HDMI input and enjoy movies, series or even Youtube videos.

Performance in games, the truth, so have not been able to check. The majority of "decent" type HD Gameloft and EA Sports games, for example, have to download data to the SD. We have a problem. The SD memory card by default is the internal SD. The apps are downloaded applications to the external, SD and come into conflict with the internal of the LG, SD and returns error. There is an executable file to "patch" the application .apk files and install them on the LG without problem. I have failed. There is another option to "join" the two reports. It is necessary to Root and the phone is not mine. Problem there, although perhaps they should provide a little more.

The loading/installation of applications occurs at an impressive speed. It is capable of managing facilities not just to find out. You can put applications to fill the memory, and you can already put. The only drawback of putting applications is the mess that is prepared in the menu. They are are ordered alphabetically, on the one hand, applications that brought the phone by default. Then, by order of installation, all that you go putting via market or via. apk. I have not been able to change this organization to be a little chaotic.

Continuing the theme of this terminal interface from LG, the word for it is simplicity. But perhaps excessive simplicity. I am in favour of a user interface as the original Android, or the CyanogenMod ADW for example. I don't like too much the slides and the tack of the HTC Sense, for example. For advocates of a more sophisticated, more animations, more beautiful or more elaborate interface, LG interface for this terminal will stay them small very quickly.

As for the that we obtain in Quadrant... Incredible. The results are always between 2500-2550. Terminals with HTC Sensation staying in each (Nothing despicable) 1800-1900, and in the case of the S2 Galaxy we would be talking of 3000 approximately. This result reflects the commitment of this terminal to the pointer hardware is very high. Demonstrated in the ease of moving the HDMI connection, easy to move games (viewed videos), the facility to load applications… All this is diminished greatly by Froyo 2.2.2 which incorporates. I am sure that when this terminal upgrade to Gingerbread will be much more rapid, effective and it will improve the experience of users.

Bugs I've found, few or none relevant. The problem of the game regard quite serious. Having to modify the .apk file to install the game, is not a great idea. Another bug I found is, that if you lock the terminal, to activate the screen with the same key (by pressing the power off), initially appears the screen lock; to light up the screen that had before blocking a tenth of a second, then the lock. I am sure that this is solved with Gingerbread (sounds to me that it was already happening to my HTC Desire). The last bug I found, does not depend on LG but find me the less interesting: when watching a Youtube video, turn off the screen, and the youtube video is completed, automatically the terminal hangs; to the point of having to remove the cover and pull the battery. It has happened to me with an isolated video and a list of videos, at the end of the first, the phone dies.

Would recommend this terminal to my friends? If, without any doubt. If you can afford it, buy it. If the question was: Galaxy S2, HTC Sensation or LG Optimus 2x… He would hesitate to public a lot. And you? With which you quedarías?

Here's a few videos and images of the terminal in operation.
